Birthdays
A friend of mine from school and I were discussing one night about why she didn't like having to celebrate her birthday, compared to me, who has always enjoyed every single September 19th. Looking back at my archives, it's plain to see that my birthday celebrations have been getting better and better with each year, and it's just amazing how people I love and care about just go out of their way to make that day special.
Which brings me to the point of this post. Now I confided to that schoolmate of mine that despite my attitude towards birthdays, I could NEVER remember the birthdays of any one, not even my closest friends. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I tend to live on a day-by-day basis, with close to ZERO planning for the month, or even the week ahead. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I'm actually not much of a present-giver, and if I can't find a proper present, then why bother with birthdates, yeah? Of course (and I hope this isn't the case) it could simply mean that I don't appreciate people enough to make a mental note of when their birthdays are.
Now, one of my oldest friends, who has long earned the title "best friend" will be turning 21. In fact, it's this week, I just don't know when. I think it should be today. I hope I'm right.
Happy birthday, kakita. Thanks for an incredible 12 years of friendship.
In other news...
The Smackdown! Roster left this morning for Seoul, South Korea. They will be performing tomorrow night at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, before making their way down to Singapore on Friday morning. I can't wait.
