Almost over...
Arguably the craziest week of my life is finally on the verge of completion. For a slacker like I am, spending more time outside than at home isn't excatly part of the natural scheme of things. But that's exactly what happened these past few days.
I've already described in some detail my Thursday night with the Three Baritones in a Christmas Concert. Then Friday came along and I trotted down to Plaza Singapura to catch an autograph signing session with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Diva Dawn Marie. Joe Augustin was MCing the event and some of you may know how I simply don't like the guy, having worked with him two years ago in Power 98. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a great guy and a wonderful father, but his professional persona sucks. The guy has an ego that could match three ACSians and that's quite a fair bit.
Anyway, the rain didn't stop people from waiting, some out of amusement, to catch the two WWE superstars in person. When they finally arrived, it seemed like all the jostling with some Mat kids was worth the while. Brock was kinda dorky throughout the little "interview" session and at one point even repeated his opening line (with the exact nerdy laugh). Dawn Marie was a dream. Really cool personality and wonderful timing. It's a pity she doesn't get to do much else on TV.
more to come once I return from church...
